I had T2 cauterized aprox March 1999 by Dr Reisfield in California. Apparently my T2 was "destroyed" as Dr. Reisfield recently described it to me and
it will not have any future function. I have numerous side effects (too many to list here- see "welcome to my nightmare by Britton Johnson under ETS
stories for more info) besides the obvious compensatory or "reflex" sweating. One thing that pains me greater than almost anything is my loss of
"runners high". Exercise and "runners high" were my drug of choice. In good times it could help me be extra confident with a sense of well
being and in bad times could be a mental life saver, getting me through just about anything. Now when things are worse than ever I no longer have this coping
mechanism. I am seeking a "reversal" and am currently leaning toward an intercostal nerve graft (ICNG) with Dr. Lin. My definition of a successful
reversal would be a 30% reduction of CS, GS and other ETS related disfunctions, with some restoration of my ability to achieve a "runners high" once
again. Also an increase in the mental "quickness" I once had would be nice. Anything beyond these would simply be "gravy". The timeline I
would like to see the majority of any of these changes is 2 to 3 years.
